Dr. Tichy grew up in Canada but has called Oregon home for the past twenty years. His first career was in professional alpine ski racing and coaching, where he collected multiple national and international titles and records.

 

Once retired from skiing, Dr. Tichy earned his undergraduate degree from Portland State University, followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He belongs to a unique group of dental practitioners who use a dental microscope for the majority of their procedures — a technique that allows highly accurate, evidence-based dentistry with a less invasive approach that is more comfortable for patients.

 

Dr. Tichy is a kind and gifted dentist who loves to provide gentle care for adults and children, and to educate the entire family about the importance of preventive care and how it relates to overall health. As a husband and father of two young daughters, he understands how to work with adults and children alike.
