Dr. Tichy grew up in Canada but has called Oregon his home for the past twenty years. His first career was in professional alpine ski racing and coaching, where he collected multiple national and international titles and records.

 

Once retired from skiing, Dr. Tichy received his undergraduate degree from Portland State University followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University. Dr. Tichy belongs to a unique group of dental practitioners that use a dental microscope for the majority of their procedures.  This technique allows Dr. Tichy to practice highly accurate, evidence-based dentistry, with a less invasive approach that is more comfortable for patients.

 

Dr. Tichy is a kind and gifted dentist who loves to provide gentle care for adults and children as well as educate the entire family about the importance of preventive care and how it relates to our overall health. As a husband and father of two young daughters, Dr. Tichy understands how to work with adults and children alike, and the unique approaches to apply to both.
